This privacy notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") to visitors of www.kocalift.com and to people who contact us by e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp or social media.

2. What we process, why, and on which legal basis
a) Visiting the website
The website has no contact forms, accounts, comments, analytics, advertising or social media plug-ins, and sets no cookies for visitors. To deliver the site, technical data sent by your browser (IP address, time of request, requested page, browser/device information and response status) is processed as server access logs by our hosting infrastructure.
- Category: Transaction security data (IP address, access time, requested URL, browser information).
- Purpose: Operating and delivering the website, information security, detecting abuse and faults.
- Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5(2)(f) (legitimate interest, provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed).
b) E-mail, telephone, WhatsApp and social media contact; quote requests
When you choose to contact us by e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp or by direct message to our social media accounts such as Instagram/Facebook, we process the information you send us. Telephone calls are not recorded; the information needed to handle your request during a call (e.g. your name, phone number and the subject of your request) is processed.
- Categories: Identity (name), contact details (e-mail, phone number, your user/profile name on the platform you use, company and address if provided), request information and correspondence content (e.g. technical details of a quote request, files and photos you send).
- Purposes: Answering your questions and quote requests, preparing quotes, carrying out contract processes, managing customer relations and communication.
- Legal bases: KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) (establishment or performance of a contract), Art. 5(2)(ç) (legal obligation), Art. 5(2)(f) (legitimate interest).
Third-party messaging platforms: WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook are services operated by Meta group companies. If you choose one of these channels, your messages and account information are also processed by that platform under its own terms and privacy policy; we have no control over the platform's own processing. The website only contains plain links to our social media accounts; there are no embedded components, plug-ins or tracking code from these platforms, and visiting the site does not send data to them.
We do not send commercial electronic messages (marketing e-mail, SMS, etc.) through the website and do not collect data for that purpose.
3. Method of collection
Server access logs are collected automatically from the information your browser sends; contact data is collected through the e-mails, messages and phone calls you initiate, by partly automated and non-automated means.
4. Transfers
- Hosting provider: Railway Corporation, 548 Market St PMB 68956, San Francisco, CA 94104, ABD — server infrastructure and access logs. Server region: US West.
- E-mail service: Google (Gmail, Google Workspace) — receiving and storing e-mails you send us.
- WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook (Meta): only if you choose one of these channels, for handling the conversation.
Processing abroad: These providers' servers and/or headquarters are located outside Türkiye, so the data above may be processed abroad.
Data may also be disclosed to authorised public authorities and courts upon request, within our legal obligations.
5. Retention
Personal data should not be kept longer than necessary for the purpose of processing and the retention periods required by law. Correspondence relating to a commercial transaction (commercial letters) must be kept for ten years from the end of the calendar year in which it took place under Art. 82 of the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102.
Server access logs are kept in the hosting provider's systems for the period set in the provider's service terms.
Under KVKK Art. 7, personal data is erased, destroyed or anonymised once the reasons for processing no longer exist.
6. Data security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken under KVKK Art. 12. The site is served over HTTPS with a Content Security Policy allowing only our own resources; only authorised staff can access the admin panel, protected by strong passwords, session limits and sign-in rate limiting; passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes; data not needed for the purpose is not collected.
7. Notice, explicit consent, cookie preferences and marketing consent
This text is a privacy notice under KVKK Art. 10; it does not ask for your approval. The processing above relies on the stated legal bases, not on explicit consent, and no explicit consent is collected on the site. No optional cookies are used, so no cookie preferences are offered (see the Cookie Policy). No consent for commercial electronic messages is collected through the site.
8. Your rights under KVKK Art. 11
You may apply to us to learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request erasure or destruction under Art. 7; request that such correction/erasure be notified to third parties to whom data was transferred; object to a result to your detriment arising exclusively from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
9. How to apply
Applications must be made in Turkish: in writing with a wet signature to Ostim OSB, 1201. Sk. No:115, 06374 Yenimahalle/Ankara, or by e-mail to kocalift@gmail.com signed with a secure electronic or mobile signature or sent from an e-mail address you previously provided to us and that is registered in our systems. See the KVKK application page. We respond in writing or electronically, free of charge, as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest.
